Viewers Declare Kamala Harris’ Stepdaughter Ella a ‘Fashion Icon’ After DNC Appearance

Ella Emhoff brought her fashion A-game to the Democratic National Convention on Thursday, Aug. 22, and viewers were quick to notice the style icon in the making as she stood on stage with other female members of her family to talk about Kamala Harris.

For the occasion, Ella wore a dress with a lavender corset top that fell off the shoulders. The white skirt was attached at the top of her hips and fell in a v-shape waistline, flowing down to just above her ankles. It also featured a ruffled accent around the waist, and a delicate crocheted floral applique on the edge of one arm, and the whole look, created by TikToker and former The Walking Dead actor Joe Ando, sent the internet into a frenzy, with one declaring that the 25-year-old is "going to be a fashion icon."

"I love her style!" one viewer wrote in response, while another agreed that the "dress was??!"

"She already was," others argued, pointing out that, besides modeling full-time, she "attended a big fashion college in NYC" as she graduated with a BFA from the Parsons School of Design.

Someone else shared a photo of the suit she wore to night three of the DNC, adding, "Her Thom Browne last night was perfection," which someone else called their "fave [look] of the convention."

Others called back to the dress she wore to the 2020 inauguration, with one asking, "Going to be? Listen, Ella slayed Inauguration Day. I remember saying, oh wowww, she’s killing it. I dig her style," while someone else called it "stunning."

Needless to say, we're excited to see what fabulous looks she whips out next!
