Vote for 2025 Gold Derby Film Awards nominations now!
Gold Derby launched its own awards for film in 2002, for TV in 2004, and for music in 2021 to give our savvy users the opportunity to weigh in on the media they love. Now the time has come to vote for the nominees in 22 categories for the 2025 Gold Derby Film Awards. You can rank your top three choices in almost every category except for Best Picture, for which you can vote for five choices; the higher you rank them, the more points they get. Vote by clicking on a category above. Below: Grab contenders one by one from the left column and add them to the right column by clicking on the green + symbol. Arrange in order of preference (No. 1 is your top choice). Grab each entry to move it up or down. (Illustrated instructions are at the bottom of this post.) You have until the end of Jan. 10 to make your final selections.
First, register for a free Gold Derby account. Then visit our predictions center here. Scroll down to “Gold Derby Film Awards Nominations 2025” and click the green box that says “VOTE” to make your choices in as many or as few categories as you like. This was the year of the auteur, when singular filmmakers like Sean Baker (Anora), Brady Corbet (The Brutalist), Jacques Audiard (Emilia Pérez), Denis Villeneuve (Dune: Part Two), and Coralie Fargeat (The Substance) brought their unique sensibilities to the screen in projects large and small across a wide range of genres and styles, giving cinephiles — including our voters — plenty of options. Narrowing it down will be the hard part.
More from GoldDerby
Voting for our awards has evolved over the years. From 2002-2010 secret ballots were submitted through our message boards. In 2011 voting moved to our predictions center, and while Gold Derby has agreed with the Oscars more often than not in the last few years, our users have often gone their own way, as when they chose Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) and Call Me by Your Name (2017) for Best Picture. Check out the complete list of winners from last year’s awards right here. All of our Best Picture winners are listed below (year referenced is for each film’s release).
