Walt Disney World offering deal on ticket prices following price hike at Disneyland
After news earlier this month that the price of a ticket to Disneyland has climbed to more than $100 a day, Mickey Mouse fans are — at least temporarily — getting a break.
The Walt Disney World Resort is now offering a 4-Park Magic Ticket that will make it possible for visitors to Disney’s Florida complex to spend a day at each of its four theme parks there — the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom — for as little as $85 per day. Visitors are limited to one theme park per day, and they must visit all four parks within a week of their first visit.
The time Disney devotees have to use the $340 ticket is also capped; it’s only valid through March 1, and certain days are blacked out. For an additional $4 or $10, visitors can purchase a ticket for admission on many more dates through Sept. 30.
At Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., a similar offer, which is also available for a limited time, allows guests to spend a day there for $70 by purchasing a three-day, one-park-per-day ticket. There are blackout dates for visitors planning to hit Disneyland and Disney California Adventure theme parks, and those tickets expire May 23, or 13 days after the first use. Locals will enjoy an even deeper discount.
(Unfortunately, the Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bars that are now available at grocery stores are not included in any of the ticket packages.)
The higher prices for standard entry in California come as Disneyland prepares to unveil its much anticipated Star Wars land, “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge,” in the summer. Its Florida counterpart is expected to open its version in the fall.
