Watch a clip from new documentary profiling electronic music pioneer
The new documentary A Life in Waves explores the life, career, and innovations of composer and electronic music pioneer, Suzanne Ciani. The film tracks the five-time Grammy nominee from her earliest days learning the piano, to her successes in the world of New Age music, to her recent re-connection with her beloved Buchla synthesizer.
A Life in Waves was made by the duo of director Brett Whitcomb and writer-editor Bradford Thomason, whose previous credits include 2008’s The Rock-afire Explosion and 2012’s GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. The film received its world premiere at this year’s SXSW Festival.
