Watch Donald Trump’s Speech at the Republican National Convention

Donald Trump officially accepted the nomination for president at the Republican National Convention Thursday night, giving a speech that excited the crowd and bashed his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.
“Who would have believed this?” he asked as he took the stage.
Chants of “Build the wall!” punctuated his speech as he talked about the economy and security. He received big cheers as he declared, “We cannot afford to be so politically correct anymore.”
“We will be a country of generosity and warmth, but we will also be a country of law and order,” he said.
Cheers of “Lock her up!” rose from the crowd when he talked about Clinton, to which Trump replied, “Let’s defeat her in November.”
“This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton — death, destruction, terrorism and weakness,” he went on.
Trump’s speech was largely focused on “law and order.” He also slammed Clinton’s association with big business, saying, “She is their puppet and they pull the strings.”
Mentioning the recent police shootings, Trump declared, “An attack on law enforcement is an attack on all Americans.”
“I will restore law and order to our country,” he concluded.
