Watch the first 15 minutes of Complications, starring Jason O'Mara

The word “vigilante” probably conjures up a mental image of a masked superhero—but the term can also apply to a suburban doctor who intervenes in a drive-by shooting in order to protect a young boy. John Ellison is that doctor.

In Complications, the newest USA series from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix, Jason O’Mara plays Ellison, who is dealing with the death of his daughter when he gets the chance to save a kid’s life. But when Ellison finds out that the boy is still marked for death, he has to decide what he’s willing to compromise to keep the kid safe.

Complications, which is slated for a 10-episode run, also stars Jessica Szohr, Beth Riesgraf, and Lauren Stamile. EW has an exclusive sneak peek of the pilot’s first 15 minutes.

Complications premieres on Thursday, June 18 at 9 p.m. on USA.
