Watch Trading Spaces Carpenters Carter Oosterhouse and Brett Tutor Boogie Down in Bell Bottoms
Carter Oosterhouse and Brett Tutor are ready to show off their dance moves.
During the season premiere of Trading Spaces, which was rebooted last year on TLC after a decade off the air, the carpenters learn a choreographed dance in the kitchen of one of the homes they’re renovating. Together, the pair bust out their moves, which include a disco point, hip shaking, and clapping.
In true 1970s style, the pair sport flared pants, while Carter dons a printed shirt and Tutor wears sunglasses, a button down.
After they learn the dance, they show off their number to the camera crew, who erupts in cheers when they hit their final pose.
During the new season of the hit show, host Paige Davis and the designers will take on some unconventional spaces including teachers’ lounges, attics, basements and the homes of twin sisters and ex-spouses.
The lineup of designers for the new season includes Doug Wilson, Frank Bielec, Hildi Santo Tomas, John Gidding, Kahi Lee, Laurie Smith, Mikel Welch, Sabrina Soto, and Vern Yip. Joanie Sprague and Ty Pennington join Tutor and Oosterhouse as carpenters. Noticeably absent from the lineup is original designer Genevieve Gorder.

“It was not my decision at all,” the TLC and HGTV star told PEOPLE exclusively of why she won’t appear in the new season of the beloved show. “I had a previous series already scheduled for the same time that we were going to shoot Trading Spaces. So the only thing that happened was just a schedule conflict.” (That other series is a “top secret” project for Bravo that she says will premiere in 2019.)

Gorder also said at some point she hopes to return to the show, telling PEOPLE: “I always want to do Trading Spaces until the day I die.”
