The bride's grandmothers Ethel Kennedy and Matilda Cuomo were part of Mariah and Tellef's special day, along with Mariah's uncle and godfather Chris Cuomo and his wife Cristina Cuomo.

A close friend of the former governor Billy Joel and his wife Alexis Roderick were also in attendance.

The wedding cake served at the reception was a sweet nod to a Kennedy family tradition. Mariah stood on a ladder to slice her wedding cake, just like Eunice Kennedy Shriver and Maria Shriver did at their weddings in 1953 and 1986, respectively.

To also honor the Kennedys, Mariah had her bachelorette party in Ireland.

Groom Tellef is Norwegian Jewish, and to honor his traditions, the couple wed beneath a chuppah that had four pillars from different locations, which represented the families coming together.

One pillar was from Ireland (for the Kennedys), another from Italy (for the Cuomos), one from Norway for Tellef's family, and one from New York as the final pillar.
