Wendy Williams is neve one to be shy about discussing topics on her talk show about herself, so when the host was accused of farting on national television, she came out firing in her own defense.
On today's episode of 'The Wendy Williams Show' -- Wendy hit the topic head-on and addressed what is being dubbed "fartgate."
As we reported, in one of this week's episodes a fart can be heard on the microphone right when Wendy shifts in her seat from one butt cheek to the other one.

“I want to talk to you about something very, very serious. I’ve been going through this for a moment and I would like to have a private conversation with you, okay?” she started.
She continued, "I have never farted once on this show. As a matter of fact, I barely fart, you know why? Because gas gets released several different ways and mine is belching because all I do is talk."
Fans were convinced she ripped one during the live broadcast of her daily show, especially since it was so well-timed to the shifting in her seat. So...Wendy addressed that situation too!

“Let me tell you something right now, okay? I don’t lean over like this to release a fart, I’m lean over like this because it’s comfortable. If I sit [straight] all the time, it’s heavy on my spine. I don’t have the back. I’m not trying to get the back. I like to release my hips and lean, you know what I’m saying? … I’ve been doing this for 11 years on this show!”
The explanation makes sense...but not all of her fans are convinced this was not a massive toot. So many of them took to Twitter and Instagram to let their voices be heard! Trolls online have even started calling her, "Windy Williams."

Someone else tweeted, "WENDY FARTED!!! Sounded like a REAL Hot Topic...???? #WindyWilliams."
One fan gave us an explanation of the gas in graphic detail, "Wendy Williams let out the wettest fart on her show yesterday sksksksjs," the fan wrote, adding, "That shit sounded juicy af!"
