Who Went Home Last Night on ‘The Bachelorette’ After Suitor Insults Jenn?
Jenn Tran got a major shock and a bit of an insult when The Bachelorette returned to the U.S. tonight following weeks of adventure in Australia and New Zealand.
The first Asian American lead and her seven remaining men arrived in Seattle to explore a city that was new to Jenn. The most recent Bachelorette, Charity Lawson, who had found love with Dotun Olubeko, showed up to share a bit of advice that could help Jenn find love.
Jenn confided to Charity that her only connection with Sam M. was physical and that that bothered her.
Back at the hotel, the men knew this week was pivotal. A rose this week would mean Jenn wanted to visit the guy’s hometown.
Read on to find out who went home, who got roses, who will get hometown dates and more.
What happened tonight with Sam M. on The Bachelorette?
Jenn took Charity's advice and tried to connect with Sam M. on a deeper level. When she told him they didn't seem to be clicking, he told her he loved her.
When she asked Sam M what he saw in her that made him fall in love, he was vague, citing their “ferocious love” and noting, “Your energy soothed my nerves.”
“There’s no logic there,” she sighed in confessional about the hunky contractor.
Exciting the room in frustration, Jenn raged to cameras, “He’s not answering anything…he’s just talking, talking, talking.”
Sitting down with Sam again, she told him, “You don’t know me…I’m done with it.” She gave him an abrupt hug goodbye and he had to pack his bags and leave.
When the she pressed him, things got worse—fast.
On their group date, Sam M. admitted to Jenn that he’d signed up for ABC's hit dating reality show, expecting either Bachelor alums Daisy Kent or Maria Georgas to be the star.
The comment had to sting, as both women who appeared on Joey’s season of The Bachelor have claimed that they’d turned down The Bachelorette Season 21 gig before it was offered to Jenn.
What a slap in the face to the history-making lead!
After their final chat, she said, "I'm done with it" and gave him an abrupt hug and sent him packing.

Marcus got the coveted first one-one-date with Jenn.
Knowing how much Disney likes to cross-promote its other properties, it didn't come as a surprise that Jenn and Marcus went on an Emerald City-inspired Wizard of Oz experience touting the upcoming movie Wicked.
Daisy Kent and Kelsey Anderson, Jenn’s pals from Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor, presided like good witches to lead her and Marcus down a mock yellow brick road.
Along the way, they popped balloons with surprises inside that revealed more about their past lives.
Marcus' ballon included a photo of himself in a military uniform posing with his sister while Jenn’s balloon contained a letter from her mother saying she did the best she could to raise The Bachelorette star in a broken family.
