WGNO’s Kenny Lopez wins First Place ‘Best On-Air Talent’ at New Orleans Press Club Awards
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The winners have been announced for the annual Press Club of New Orleans “Excellence in Journalism Awards.”
Every year, the Press Club of New Orleans recognizes and honors the best in the television business in our city. This year, WGNO’s Kenny Lopez won “First Place” in the category of “Best On-Air Talent.”

Lopez has been a reporter at WGNO-TV since 2011. He previously won a Press Club Award for his story on the “Playboy Super Bowl party” back in 2013.

The annual Press Club of New Orleans “Excellence in Journalism Awards” gala was held on Saturday night, Aug. 24 at The Cannery.
