Los Angeles Dodgers fans lined up for hours on Wednesday as the Major League Baseball team unveiled its official “Shohei Ohtani Bobblehead Night.” Forty-thousand lucky fans got to take home a limited-edition bobblehead featuring the Dodgers MVP posed alongside his dog, Decoy.

According to reports, the Ohtani bobbleheads went quickly, and some people had even posted their bobbleheads on eBay even before the game was over. As of this writing, there were more than 1,500 search results for “Shohei Ohtani Bobblehead” on eBay, with prices starting from $150.

So why the demand? Ohtani, of course, is one of the most popular athletes not only in baseball, but in all of sports. And Wednesday’s giveaway not only featured the pitcher/designated hitter in bobblehead form — it also featured him holding his dog Decoy. The Dodgers were also handing out limited-edition all-gold versions of Ohtani’s figurine at Wednesday night’s game.
