Will Forte Reprises ‘Write-In Party Candidate Tim Calhoun’ for President
Will Forte reprised his Saturday Night Live character Write-In Party candidate Tim Calhoun when he stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The very quiet Calhoun is a painfully terrible public speaker, but what he lacks in oratory skills, he makes up for in confusion and candor. While Calhoun has always had modest political goals, on The Tonight Show he revealed he was running for president.
Some of Calhoun’s statements were polarizing but effective. “I’m pro ISIS,” said the candidate. “Whether large cubes or small flakes, ices keep my drinks cold, and that’s good for America.” Calhoun is also a fan of making America more diverse, saying, “The Supreme Court needs a China person.”
In his closing statement, he simply said, “Vote for Tim Calhoun for president of America of the United States because if you rearrange the letters in America it spells Recamia.”
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
