One way or another, Westeros’s Game of Thrones is approaching its endgame. April 14 marks the premiere of the eighth and final season of HBO’s blockbuster fantasy series, and while specific plot points are being kept in the deepest, darkest and dankest King’s Landing dungeon, the network is releasing select images via raven. Scroll down for 14 new Game of Thrones photos, and our speculation about what they mean for your favorite players.

Daenerys
Could it be the promise of new love with Jon that has our Mother of Dragons cracking a rare smile? Just wait until she learns that her bedmate is also her nephew. Unless this photo was taken seconds after Tyrion broke the news, that’s her “No waaay” face.

Jon
A bundled-up Jon strikes a grim pose in what appears to be his former home of Winterfell. We’re thinking that his reunion with Sansa and Arya wasn’t as happy as he hoped.

Cersei
Hail to the Queen! The current occupant of the Iron Throne — where her husbands and two sons once sat — cuts a lonely, but powerful figure in the halls of the Red Keep. She expresses her independence from tradition, and her family, with a specially designed crown that signals her determination to win it all.

Sansa
The elder Stark daughter demonstrated her independence (and her cunning) by outsmarting Littlefinger in open court. She’s also asserting herself in her increasingly estranged relationship with Jon. How long until she decides it’s past time for a queen in the North?

Arya
Whatever dangers are still in store for the former Faceless assassin-in-training, at least she’s facing them with both of her signature weapons: Needle and a Valyrian steel dagger.

Tyrion
Back in Westeros after a lengthy absence, Tyrion signals his allegiance to Daenerys with his “Hand of the Queen” sigil. But there’s still a chance that his Lannister family ties will lead to a late-inning betrayal.

Jaime
Having severed ties with his sister-lover, Jaime is now a lone wolf … uh, golden lion. So what master will this warrior serve now? One possibility is that he and his buddy Bronn can just go on a singing tour of the Summer Isles.

Brienne
Lady Catelyn may be many years dead, but Brienne is staying loyal to the Stark family, fighting for Sansa and Arya in the looming war for the Iron Throne. There’s no soldier you’d rather have on your side.

Bran
The Three-Eyed Raven previously known as Bran Stark warms himself in front of a fire. But is this quiet scene taking place in the past, present … or future? That’s the trouble with being able to time-hop.

Varys
Oh, what a tangled web the Spider continues to weave in Westeros! Varys is currently in league with Daenerys, but he’s undoubtedly got other tricks up his voluminous sleeves.

Samwell
A Citadel chamber pot emptier no more, Samwell will fight the White Walkers not with any blade, but with his extensive knowledge of Westerosi history.

Davos
Currently aligned with Daenerys, the Onion Knight is almost certainly destined to meet his sworn enemy, Melisandre, one more time before the series ends. Perhaps he’s contemplating the many ways in which he’ll take his revenge for Shireen’s ugly death.

Game of Thrones premieres April 14 on HBO.
