Your TV To-Do List: 'Agent Carter' and 'The X-Files' Return, 'Legends of Tomorrow' Arrives

Masterchef: Celebrity Showdown: Monday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. on Fox
The Masterchef kitchen has welcomed professional chefs and culinary-savvy children. Now, it’s playing host to its toughest crowd yet: celebrities. Terry Crews, Boris Kodjoe and Empire’s Ta’Rhonda Jones are among the small-screen stars laboring to prepare haute cuisine under Gordon Ramsay’s hot, withering gaze.
Marvel’s Agent Carter: Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. on ABC
Super-spy Peggy Carter heads West to sunny California for another round of Marvel-ous adventures. Expect plenty of MCU Easter eggs, including references to the upcoming movie Doctor Strange as well as Carter’s sister show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: Thursday, Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. on The CW
Not to be one-upped by Marvel, DC adds another series to a super-powered arsenal that already includes Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl. As the title suggests, Legends of Tomorrow is a time-travel infused team-up adventure showcasing the derring-do of heroes like Firestorm, Hawkman, and The Atom.
Baskets: Thursday, Jan. 21 at 10 p.m. on FX
Zach Galifianakis returns to TV as the creator and star of a typically offbeat comedy about a classically-trained clown who goes to work in a rodeo.
The X-Files: Sunday, Jan. 24 at 10 p.m. on Fox
The truth is out there, at last: The X-Files returns to the airwaves for six hour-long installments of fresh paranormal activity. Black oil not included.
