WNBA Stars Strip Down to Star in New Underwear Campaign for Skims

With the highly anticipated 2024 WNBA Draft now in the rearview mirror, many fans are looking forward to the start of the season and to see some new faces on the court along with the experienced veterans. The WNBA has been having a moment this year thanks to recent draftees like Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink, and in its latest venture outside basketball, some of the league's biggest names joined forces for a new Skims underwear campaign that promotes the brand's business relationship with the league.

Kim Kardashian's shapewear and underwear line has become a go-to brand for women in recent years. It was a smart move, then, to make some WNBA players the new faces of the brand's Fits Everybody collection. After all, who else could better speak to the clothes' flexibility and durability?

The group included WNBA stars Kelsey Plum, Skylar Diggins-Smith, and DiJonai Carrington as well as new draftee Cameron Brink and retired three-time WNBA champ Candace Parker. In the video, the women speak about what it's like being on the court and what they hope to accomplish with their actions.

"If I had to describe myself in one word on the court, it would be 'menace,'" Diggins-Smith stated plainly.

"When you're on the court, nothing else matters," Carrington added.

"Me on the court is fire," Plum chimed in.

"I want my legacy to be that I left the game in a better place," Parker said.

Brink, who is gearing up to soon make her WNBA debut with the Los Angeles Sparks,  indicated she's ready to hit the court running. "I'm just ready to go to work," she said.

Brink opened up about the partnership with the brand in a new interview with Elle. "I was super excited to be included in this group of strong women that represent the game so well on and off the court," she confessed. "I love that SKIMS has realized our power and has partnered with the W[NBA]."

Given the WNBA's continued growth in popularity, the Skims campaign could be the start of a new wave of female hooper endorsements.
