A24 has released the official trailer for its nostalgic teen disaster comedy Y2K, appropriately scored by Chumbawamba's '90s hit "Tubthumping." The sci-fi comedy also features a killer Tamagotchi with a drill.

Written and directed by Saturday Night Live alum Kyle Mooney, Y2K follows best friends Danny (Julian Dennison) and Eli (Jaeden Martell) as they crash a New Year's Eve house party on the last night of 1999. Unfortunately, Eli's attempts to get close to his crush Laura (Rachel Zegler) are put on hold when the Y2K bug hits at midnight, turning formerly harmless electronic gadgets into murder machines.

Mashable reviewed Y2K out of SXSW earlier this year, and while it doesn't seem destined to be a teen movie classic, our reviewer found it a "solid stoner comedy" that offers a good, mindless time.

Y2K arrives in theaters on Dec. 6.
