Yellowstone Spinoff Cast: Who’s Starring in The Madison?
Earlier this month, TVLine reported that Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, and Patrick J. Adams were all closing on deals to star in the latest show in the Yellowstone universe. Later came the confirmation that Pfeiffer had officially joined the cast and that Patrick J. Adams (Suits) and Beau Garret would also join her. Now, Deadline is reporting that Matthew Fox (Lost) is set to join the show as lead opposite Pfeiffer. He will play “Paul, a self-reliant bachelor who loves the outdoors.” It’s unclear if Russell is still in the picture, but all signs point to him no longer being involved with the project.
The show is rumored to follow wealthy matriarch Stacy Clyburn and her family after they leave New York and head to Montana after her husband and brother-in-law tragically die in a plane crash.
Amiah Miller (My Best Friend’s Exorcism) and Elle Chapman have also joined the cast as series regulars. Production is set to start as soon as late August, in Montana, New York, and Texas, with the show set to premiere sometime in 2025 after the mothership concludes Season 5B. That is set to premiere on Sunday, November 10.
Paramount ordered The Madison to series last fall, though it was then called 2024. Matthew McConaughey was attached to star when the series was first announced, and Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Luke Grimes were expected to reprise their roles of Beth Dutton, Rip Wheeler, and Kayce Dutton. It is unclear yet if Russell was being pursued to take over the role McConaughey was going to play, and if that is indeed the role that has now gone to Fox or if Russell is somehow still in the mix. It’s also unclear if the characters from Yellowstone who were originally rumored to appear in the show will still do so, or if the show has been retooled completely in a way that makes them unnecessary.

Yellowstone is Paramount Network’s drama series following the Dutton family, the owners of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, also known as “The Yellowstone,” aka the largest ranch in Montana. The series premiered in 2018 and stars Kevin Costner as patriarch John Dutton III. The series Yellowstone is basically a family drama about the issues at the ranch with the nearby Broken Rock Indian Reservation, wealthy land developers, and more. Yellowstone will end with Season 5, and the show will somehow wrap up without Kevin Costner’s John Dutton III. The actor announced he was leaving the series earlier this year.
Season 5 Part 2 of Yellowstone will premiere in November 2024 and all episodes can be streamed on Peacock.
