Sometimes on soaps, people come back from the dead. And given that Yellowstone is basically one big horse opera, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that even as the “final” episodes are getting ready to drop, rumors are circulating that news of the show’s demise may have been premature. In fact, we just might be getting another season of the show… with our favorite potty-mouthed businesswoman and her besotted beau, Rip!

While there’s no confirmation as of yet, there are definitely signs indicating that the show must just might go on. For one thing, the new ad rolled out this week by Paramount reminds us that the final episodes of Season 5 will hit the Paramount network on Sunday, November 10. Did you catch what’s missing in that promo?
Generally speaking, when shows are nearing the end, the accompanying ad campaigns do everything in their power to lure viewings. They’ll say things like “the final episodes” or “see how it all ends.” Yet in this case, there are no such prompts.
More: Look who just joined the Yellowstone spin-off!
And it’s easy to see both why and how the powers that be would want to see Yellowstone continue. It has, after all, been both a ratings juggernaut and a cultural phenomenon. While Kevin Costner’s John Dutton was the character who served as our introduction to the Montana ranch’s world, we now know that neither the actor nor his gruff alter ego will be returning. (As to why… well, that’s a complicated story that might just depend on who is telling it. But here’s what we know!)
But the biggest indication that the show could wind up continuing comes from an industry newsletter called Puck. According to our sister-site TVLine, the newsletter Beth and Rip’s portrayers — that would be Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, respectively — are inching closer to a deal which would find them not only continuing in their darn-near iconic roles, but doing so on the mothership as opposed to its upcoming spinoff, The Madison.
