A Young Man Describes What Led Up To Him Holding His Older Brother In His Arms As He Died

Ryan’s older brother James Kulstad was shot and killed on April 8, 2018, in Bakersfield, CA.

“I, literally, just sat there and held him, and I kissed him on the side of his head and told him I loved him,” Ryan says. “I’m never going to get over losing him.”

One of the things Ryan says makes James’ death so difficult is that it hasn’t been determined who killed him.
