Zoe Salda?a Brings Back the Bubble Trend in Saint Laurent Dress for Oscars 2025 Red Carpet
Zoe Salda?a brought the bubble hem back in major fashion on the red carpet of the 2025 Oscars on Sunday in Los Angeles. The actress is nominated for best performance by an actress in a supporting role for her work in the film “Emilia Pérez.”
For the special occasion, Salda?a wore a custom look courtesy of Saint Laurent, a designer the actress has worn throughout the “Emilia Pérez” promotional tour and awards season. The strapless dress featured a semi-sheer bust with shimmering and black threaded details in a diamond pattern.

The sheer bustline transitioned into a three-tiered maroon design, with bubble hems on the first and second tier of the dress. Salda?a added a pair of sheer black opera gloves to her red carpet look for the 2025 Academy Awards.
As for her accessories, Salda?a opted for a pair of stud earrings and a bold statement choker with emeralds and panther inspiration courtesy of Cartier. Salda?a’s hair was styled with natural waves and a middle part courtesy of Mara Roszak and her makeup featured bold brows and a neutral lip by artist Vera Steimberg. Salda?a’s look was curated by stylist Petra Flannery.
Over the course of the last several months, Salda?a wore quite a few designs courtesy of Saint Laurent. The sartorial choices are a nod to Salda?a’s film “Emilia Pérez” and the contributions the French luxury fashion house made to the film, which earned 13 Academy Award nominations.
Saint Laurent Productions is a coproducer on the film, with several of the Netflix movie’s costumes from creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s archives. Virginie Montel served as the film’s costume designer and artistic director.
The 97th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, takes place on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Conan O’Brien is hosting the ceremony, honoring the best in cinema from the past year. Notable presenters include Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Oprah Winfrey, Cillian Murphy, Emma Stone and more.
