We’re only three months into 2023, and it’s already gifted us with pure, unbridled chaos. Like, I could put together an entire state of the union speech on just what’s happened in March and it’s barely even started (naturally, I’m talking about Scandoval, in which Tom Sandoval cheated on Ariana Madix with their Vanderpump Rules costar Raquel Leviss).
But frankly, January and February were just as deranged thanks to an unhinged combination of spy balloons, American Girl Doll choosing violence by attacking ’90s kids with their own “historical doll,” Prince Harry refusing to stop talking about his frozen penis no matter how many times society begged him to stop, and, of course, the spirit of Elvis possessing Austin Butler’s body and deciding to make it his permanent home. And that’s, like, barely scratching the surface of what we’ve been through this year.
Click through to relive the weirdest and wildest pop culture moments of 2023 (and obviously, we will be adding to this list as the months drag on). Truly scared of what this might look like in December, so let’s form a quick prayer circle in the hopes that everything doesn’t get too freaky. That is, if the astroid that NASA just casually announced has a “small chance” of hitting earth in 2046 doesn’t decide to speed up its timeline and crash into us before then.

January: Prince Harry’s Todger
Like, did I expect to spend the beginning of 2023 listening to Prince Harry describe rubbing his mom’s favorite lotion on his penis to cure his frostbite? No. But here we are.
January: M3GAN’s Dance
If you didn’t set your Slack to “in a meeting” and spend hours of your work day practicing the M3GAN dance, you weren’t doing your job right.
January: Miss USA Wearing a 30-Pound Moon Costume
We’re nothing if not a subtle nation.
January: Austin Butler’s Elvis Voice
The spirit of Elvis has him by the throat. Quite literally.

January: Kylie Jenner’s Lion Head
The fact that we had to deal with these pics hitting the internet during dry January is just cruel.

I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords.
