The 2022 Grammy Award nominations are in and music industry heavyweights such as Lil Nas X, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Silk Sonic, and more are some of the highlighted nominees for music's biggest night.

Doja Cat received a slew of nominations for her hit "Kiss Me More" featuring SZA and pop newcomer Olivia Rodrigo made an appearance under some of the night's biggest categories including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist, among others.

For the first time in 30 years, this set of nominees were chosen solely by the Grammy committee, rather than undergoing a secretive, anonymous review process — an antiquated notion that was previously called out by The Weeknd, who was famously snubbed at last year's ceremony even after having one of the most successful albums of 2020. Other artists, such as Jay Z, Drake, Kanye West, and Frank ocean have called out the Grammy's in recent years for overlooking Black artists in the evening's top categories — such as Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. Justin Bieber also criticized the Grammy's last year for not recognizing his album Changes under the R&B categories — which was seemingly rectified this year with his nomination for Best R&B Performance for his hit "Peaches."

Read on for the full list of nominees and tune into the 64th annual Grammy Awards on Monday, January 31, 2022 on CBS.
