This $23 Million Home in Jackson, Wyoming, Frames the Teton Mountain Range
A new home in Jackson, Wyoming, brings a modern sensibility to the area’s rustic Rocky Mountain style. The residence was designed by The Jackson Home Company, a division of the family-run design and development firm The Brooklyn Home Company, which is responsible for several notable New York- and Brooklyn-based residential projects. Called Trader Ridge and listed for $23 million, this impressive modern take on a mountain home is one of the firm’s most expensive projects in Jackson to date. The 7,234-square-foot home, listed with Jake Kilgrow of Sotheby’s International Realty, has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and two powder rooms spread throughout two levels.
Trader Ridge is located in Jackson’s Gros Ventre North neighborhood, known for its large parcels of land anchored by substantial homes. It’s a private gated community with easy access to Teton Village, downtown Jackson, various hiking and fishing spots, and other outdoor pursuits. Nestled at the foothills of the Teton Mountain Range with incredible panoramic mountain views, Trader Ridge is in the heart of Jackson’s most breathtaking natural beauty. The property spans just under 12 acres and borders 1,800 acres of conservation land, so while you have the social aspect of being part of a neighborhood community, you still have incredible access to open land.

The Jackson Home Company worked in collaboration with several local firms, including New West Building Company and Farmer Payne Architects to bring their singular vision to life. The clean lines of the contemporary facade made from wood and stone stand out against the rugged landscape, while multiple terraces, including a striking A-frame patio, further connect the residence to the outdoors. Quality craftsmanship is a specialty for The Jackson Home Company, and this residence was enhanced with natural, locally sourced materials and a variety of hand-carved detailing by their artist-in-residence, Fitzhugh Karol, a Brooklyn-based sculptor who works with steel, wood, ceramic, and paper.
The heart of the home is the oversized great room, which features soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed steel beams, and an imposing stone fireplace for year-round cozy nights in. The open-plan space is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors, encouraging natural light to spill in, and includes the sumptuous living room, dining area, and custom kitchen. The stylish chef’s kitchen, outfitted with bespoke black cabinetry and state-of-the-art appliances, also has a butler’s pantry and an eat-in kitchen island. Off of the great room is a large patio with an A-frame style roof, and glass railings ensure no view is blocked, whether you’re cooking in the outdoor kitchen or lounging in the al fresco sitting area.
The main level also features an office with access to a private deck and a mudroom with custom millwork that provides ample storage for skis and other gear. The spacious primary bedroom is nearby, making it the only bedroom on the main level, ensuring privacy for the owners. There are two walk-in closets, a spa-inspired bathroom with a freestanding tub, two showers, a double vanity, and an outdoor shower. There’s also a private patio and a double-sided fireplace that separates the bedroom and sitting area.
The lower level, which has an exposed patio overlooking the mountains, has four en suite bedrooms plus a flex room that could be considered a sixth bedroom. The bedrooms are located in a separate wing from the entertainment options that include a chic wet bar with a fridge and ice machine, a fully outfitted gym with a sauna, and a media lounge. Directly outside is a built-in hot tub and further outdoor seating to enjoy sunsets.
Finally, there’s a 1,500-square-foot garage that can fit up to six cars, as well as snowmobiles, ATVs, golf carts, and other equipment to enjoy the ample acreage. The home also features a green roof, which reduces stormwater runoff, improves air quality, and increases the energy efficiency of the home.
