Barrel Curls
We love a good bouncy curl, but a perfectly separated one can feel a bit too precise. Right now, it’s all about nonchalant middle waves, achieved by wrapping the center section of strands around a wand and leaving the ends and roots straight.

Unicorn Hair
Do we really even need to explain this one? Unicorns had their moment, but it’s time to move on to slightly more sophisticated things. Like root beer hair.
Ombré
This gradually fading color has been, well, gradually fading for some time. If you want something with the same low level of upkeep, go for natural balayage highlights or even exposed roots instead.
Minimalist Hair
Just-rolled-out-of-bed hair had a good run. But now we're being slightly less obvious about it thanks to the resurgence of hair accessories. Bobby pins, scrunchies, headbands and clips all make it look like you tried even though you really hit snooze seven times.

Lobs
Dear lob, It’s not you. It’s us. Although it really pains us to throw the shoulder-grazing style into this category, you have to admit that it’s a bit overdone. This year, crop your locks closer to your chin for an edgier, true bob look.
