3. Police officers step up for prom

4. It’s the first Monday in May… a.k.a. Met Gala day
The Oscars don’t hold a candle to the real fashion prom, which takes place tonight. Rihanna, Amal Clooney, and Donatella Versace will join Vogue‘s Anna Wintour in hosting the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute celebration for “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” which will see A-listers and their designer dates hitting the red carpet in religious-themed fashions. 5. FYF Fest gets canceled
In what’s being considered a blow to female musicians, Coachella organizers have scrapped plans for this year’s FYF Fest, which was due to be fronted by Janet Jackson and Florence + The Machine. The July festival was a rare event to be headlined by two women. Read more >
