6 Baby Food Subscription Companies That Will Deliver Nutritious Food Straight to Your Door
Of course, you want your baby to eat wholesome, balanced meals. But you barely have enough time to go grocery shopping, let alone peel, cube, steam and blitz an assortment of farmers market vegetables. (And let’s not even get started on the cleanup.) The fix? Get delicious and nutritious baby food delivered directly to your doorstep. We’re not talking about mashed up bananas, either. Think: Healthy recipes crafted by chefs using the finest ingredients and signed off by nutritionists and pediatricians. Here, six baby food subscription services to try (all available nationwide unless otherwise noted).

Little Spoon
The catalyst behind this delivery service came from the idea that baby food shouldn’t be older than babies (looking at you, eight-month sweet potato purée sitting on the shelf). The team at Little Spoon use organic fruits and vegetables to prepare pediatrician-recommend baby blends. Parents can pick and match the blends they want or use a blueprint developed by experts to deliver a selection of meals tailored toward your tot’s growing needs. Sample containers include “simple blends” like plain pear or beet, banana and mango, or “adventurous blends” like beet, tahini, chickpea, apple, brown rice and cardamom. (Um, maybe keep some applesauce on hand in case some of the more exotic flavors aren’t your baby’s thing.)
Little Spoon (starting at $2.26 per container)
Raised Real
Here’s how it works: Every two weeks, 20 flash frozen meals developed by a nutritionist are delivered to your door for you to steam cook in less than ten minutes. You can then mash or blend your meal to your desired consistency or serve as finger food for older kids. Sample meal plans include peas and zucchini with hemp hearts, basil and avocado oil or strawberry and beet with quinoa, basil and sacha inchi oil. Not sure what the heck sacha inchi oil is? Text the company’s SMS hotline with all your baby food-related questions. Available nationwide except for Hawaii and Alaska (sorry).
Raised Real (starting at $4.75 per meal)

Pure Spoon
Chefs over at Pure Spoon use something called High Pressure Pasteurization (also known as cold pasteurization) to pasteurize their recipes, “locking in more nutrition, color, texture and flavor.” All meals are allergen-free and organic with flavors like avocado with pears and apples with broccoli. Want to test it out before you subscribe? You can also add these guys to your Amazon cart. Available nationwide, except Hawaii and Alaska.
Pure Spoon (starting $2.08 per meal)
Yumi
Billed as a “science-based early childhood meal delivery program,” this L.A.-based service (it currently deliver to California and various locations in Nevada, Arizona and Utah but plans to expand this year) focuses on nutrient-rich ingredients that will support your baby’s brain growth in her first 1,000 days. Parents can choose from single-blend purées or signature blends, all of which are organic, gluten-free, vegan, low in sugar and free from common allergens. Extra nice feature? Yumi donates unused perishables to a local non-profit that helps feed those in need.
Yumi (starting at $3.75 per jar)
Once Upon a Farm
Co-founded by actress and our imaginary bestie Jennifer Garner, these fruit and veggie pouches are cold-pressed to preserve nutrients. (FYI: it also means you’ll need to store them in the fridge and not in your kitchen cupboard.) With fun flavors like Blueberry Rosemary Pear-Fection and Peter Banana Pumpkin Eater, don’t be surprised if you want what your baby’s having. Parents can select 24 pouches to be delivered every one to five weeks or pick these guys up from Target and Amazon.
Once Upon a Farm (starting from $2.69 per pouch)
Nurture Life
Who says that the convenience of delivery needs to stop once your kid graduates from toddlerhood? Nurture Life offers meal plans for kids ages six months to 18 years. Choose from the seasonal or favorites menu, and get seven dinners delivered once per week (cold but not frozen). Depending on your preferred cooking method (microwave or oven), you could be eating a nutritious home-cooked (ish) meal in just three minutes. The meals last seven days in the fridge and come with a handy “eat by” date. Say goodbye to chicken nuggets for dinner three nights in a row (hey, no judgement).
Nurture Life (starting at $4.38 per meal)
