6th Annual Clifford Parkfest celebration

CLIFFORD TOWNSHIP. SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Rain could not stop the fun at an annual celebration in Susquehanna County.

The sound of an Indian flute was just part of what attendees got to enjoy craft and food vendors, raffles, and a performance by the Mountain View School Band.

The festival features a new theme every year with this year’s being native American heritage.

The festival included a traveling museum with exhibits showcasing traditional native american clothing, tools, and artwork.

After damage from two floods organizers say they are happy the community came out to support.

“We’ve been working really hard to get it back in shape for the parkfest because people look forward to it. And it’s a good thing, even though it’s raining you can see there are a lot of people here. And they look forward to this event every year,” said Barry Searle the vice chairman, township supervisors.

The event is funded by Clifford Township– with leftover money going to the Clifford Children’s Garden.
