7-year-old receives snow pants for Christmas and promptly calls 911
While most children may throw a hissy fit, or even cry, when they receive clothes for (unlike adults who cry tears of joy when they get some good, warm socks) for Christmas, one seven-year-old decided to call the cops on Santa Claus.
According to police, the boy in Canada called 911 on Tuesday morning around 8 a.m. to complain about the snow pants he had received, reportedly saying they were “not appreciated.” As a child, there’s nothing worse than receiving something you need (underpants), as opposed to something you want (literally anything else).

Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt asserted that the young child would be added to the naughty list after his unnecessary call.
“Parents or caregivers need to make sure their children understand the consequences of calling 911 and what constitutes an emergency,” Sgt. Kerry Schmidt told CTV News. “Kids need to realize that calling 911 is critical and serious. We don’t want to waste resources going after calls that aren’t an emergency.”
In a previous report, Kitchener reported that it took approximately 30 minutes to investigate a 911 call, and non-emergency calls put a strain on police resources.
