9 Wonderfully Delicious Rides You Gotta Experience
InTandem All Night Donut Ride
What: We saved the craziest ride for last, but the nonprofit tandem group InTandem’s All-Night Donut Ride is worth the wait. In its first year, Executive Director Stanley Zucker says, the ride was a phenomenal success—in fact, he’s considering starting several All-Night food-themed rides in NYC next year. The donut shops on the route all agreed to stay open, and entry fees covered your donut and coffee at each stop—no time bonuses for eating extra donuts, as this is more a tour and less a race. Riders visited at least one of the best donut shops in each of the four bikeable bridge-connected boroughs—Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan—and rode until the sun came up. It’s not a timed ride, but it is a group ride—you don’t have to have a tandem to participate, but it’s definitely more fun with one!
