Aiken's Makin' its 48th annual arts, crafts show this weekend. Hours, location and more

Just a few weeks before Arts in the Heart is another of the Augusta area's biggest festivals for all things creative.

The Aiken Chamber of Commerce's 48th annual Aiken's Makin' is this Friday and Saturday along Park Avenue between Union and Chesterfield streets.

That stretch of downtown Aiken will be absolutely filled with candles, mosaics, pottery, homemade foods, and plenty of crafts made of everything from leather to iron. More than 200 vendors have confirmed their attendance, according to the Aiken's Makin' Facebook page. About a third of these were not here last year.

Aiken's Makin' opens daily at 9 a.m. to closing 6 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. For more information, go to aikenchamber.net.
