‘Alaska Daily’ Star Hilary Swank Is Pregnant with Twins: ‘It’s Such a Blessing’
Hilary Swank’s new show, Alaska Daily, isn’t the only thing she’s looking forward to. In fact, the 48-year-old actress is expanding her family by two.
Swank appeared on today’s episode of Good Morning America and announced that she and her husband, Philip Schneider, are expecting twins. “This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time, and my next thing is I’m gonna be a mom,” she said. “And not just of one, but of two. I can’t believe it.”
Shortly after the news broke, Swank stopped by Live with Kelly and Ryan and further discussed her pregnancy. “I’m feeling great right now, even with the time—you know, I’m on Pacific time, so I’m a little cross-eyed with that,” she explained. “But I’m feeling good right now.”
The actress confirmed that twins run in her family—and Schneider’s, too. “It’s such a blessing. It’s a total miracle. It’s unbelievable,” she added.
Swank learned of her pregnancy while she was filming the upcoming ABC series, Alaska Daily, which premieres on October 6. She tried to hide the news from the cast and crew, but it didn’t go as planned.
“My clothes started not to fit so I had to, the other day cut [my jeans] open. And then I put a jacket on that wasn’t in continuity,” she said. “And [they] came and said, ‘That’s not in continuity.’ I said, ‘Oh, I think it works.’ ‘It doesn’t.’ ‘No, it does. I’m going to make it work.’ She’s like, ‘If you’re an executive producer, you can do it, but this is weird.’”
Well, the cat baby is officially out of the bag.
