Spotted recently by a dedicated Aldi Redditor, it's been revealed that the Specially Selected Onion Chutney is the latest Aldi product to have customers clamoring for their wallets. The sweet and savory spread is the perfect addition to any Indian-style curry or cheese and cracker spreads, and can also be used as a dip or as a flavor booster for your favorite sandwich. Honestly, the possibilities are endless when it comes to a good chutney, and this Aldi specialty comes in a 9-ounce glass jar, retailing for just $3.29.

“This is so good on small flatbread pizzas with roasted potatoes and goat cheese,” announced one fan of the caramelized onion spread. And when the question came up of whether or not the Onion Chutney was very sweet, one helpful shopper responded, “It's not remotely as sweet as your typical jam or jelly, but can be pretty sweet.” They continued to explain that it's all about how much you use, noting that “half a teaspoon of the stuff on a sandwich really ups the flavor without adding too much sweetness.”
