ALDI
Those who frequently shop at Aldi know just how lucky one can get when visiting on a whim. Between the weekly list of must-have Aldi Finds and the extremely affordable dupes of some of your favorite brands, Aldi does a fantastic job at catering to the unique needs of customers year-round. Even after recently slashing prices on dozens of holiday essentials ahead of the best season of the year, the German-owned grocery chain still managed to release a slew of new eats this week that shoppers couldn't wait to get their hands on.

Making its rounds on Reddit, one shopper took it upon themselves to make the masses aware of Aldi’s delicious looking Apple Mascarpone Strudels. This traditional German pastry is sold under Aldi’s private label, Specially Selected — which features an assortment of gourmet groceries — and contains an apple and mascarpone cheese filling wrapped in a beautifully flaky puff pastry exterior. Each strudel weighs about 1-pound and 5-ounces, making it perfect for sharing with friends, and retails for only $3.99.

“Looks about as good as someone should expect,” joked one intrigued user of the subreddit. “I really don't see the problem,” they continued. While the original poster claimed that Aldi “nailed it” with this one, another user chimed in, “I made one of these last night and ate half of it.” Going on to reveal that “it could have used a little more apple filling," the Reddit user admitted that they were surprised by the overall "good" taste.
In addition to the apple variety, the Specially Selected Mascarpone Strudel is also available in a Cherry flavor, which one shopper admitted to thoroughly enjoying, stating that it tasted a little “less sugary” and had more of a “real fruit flavor” to it.
Perhaps the best part about an Aldi Find that gets a lot of traction online is when it is a freezer section exclusive. These tasty strudels may not last in-store forever, but if the available flavors are right up your alley, you can always stock up and load your freezer with as many as your heart desires. And when you’re ready to enjoy one, just pop it in an oven preheated to 425°F (for conventional) or 400°F (for convection) and bake for 25 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown. Make sure to let the strudel cool off before eating, but most importantly, enjoy!
