How Alec Baldwin Reacted to Becoming a Grandfather for the First Time

Alec Baldwin is thrilled with the new addition to his family.

The 30 Rock star's daughter Ireland welcomed her first child, making the dad of eight a first-time grandfather.

He shared his excitement on Instagram, sharing a throwback photo of Ireland as a child, sitting on his lap playing doctor. "My first baby had her first baby. Much love to three of you," he captioned it.

He received plenty of congratulatory comments from fans.

"Aww congratulations! She looks so much like Carmen in this pic ????!," remarked a fan, noting the resemblance between Ireland and Alec's nine-year-old daughter. "Congratulations!!! Isn’t it the best feeling!!! God bless your daughter and her new little family ??????," wrote another.

A different fan added, "Congratulations! Your first grandchild is a blessing. ??"

Alec's wife Hilaria shared a photo on Instagram of herself with her husband and their seven children together, celebrating Alec becoming a grandpa. She wrote in the caption, "All of these aunties and us grandparents are so excited that Holland is here!!! Congratulations to the mama and papa, Ireland and Andre. We love you so very much!"

Under Hilaria's post, Alec commented, "Miracle."

The actor's wife also shared with People how excited she is to be a step-grandmother, as well as Alec's reaction to becoming a grandpa. "We're so excited, we're just so excited," said the 39-year-old. "You're going to make me cry!"

Ireland gave birth to daughter Holland on May 18. She announced the news with an adorable selfie, showing her in her hospital bed with parter RAC (whose name is André Allen Anjos) with her newborn.
