Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Also Wants to Know Why 'So Many Grown Men' on Fox News Are Obsessed With Her

In a recent interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez asks the question many of us who consume the news have been wondering: Why is Fox News so obsessed with her???
Meyers asked the congresswoman about the network's constant coverage of her, saying "Are you surprise with the speed at which they seem to have switched all their attention and programming?" She responded, "It's weird. Why are so many grown men just obsessed with this 29-year-old? ... No, but I think it’s really funny, and the conspiracy theories are great."
Meyers then asked if any of Ocasio-Cortez's colleagues who watch Fox News end up getting bad information about her. She replied, "It is funny because one of the side effects of this Fox News lunacy is that other actual members of Congress believe it and see it uncritically. I was on the floor once, and this guy came up to me and he was like, 'Is it true that you got $10 million from Netflix?' And I was like, 'No! ... I'm like, What else do you not know? This is concerning.'" (The truth is that Netflix paid $10 million for a documentary that features Ocasio-Cortez in it.)
Ocasio-Cortez started receiving an inflated amount of coverage from the news channel after she won her primary in the summer 0f 2018, beating out a long-term incumbent and becoming a superstar of the Democratic Party. Since then, Ocasio-Cortez has critiqued Fox News for saying her name incorrectly, for making jokes and theorizing about her financial situation, and for just recently suggesting she could be a "Manchurian Candidate."
