After building up fan interest in her new album project “Here” over the last few weeks, Grammy winning artist Alicia Keys came out to promote, perform, and show off an enhancement to her personal style to millions on the “Tonight Show” — looking fresh with big hair, minimal makeup, and all smiles.

Although Fallon nearly fouled things up by trying to touch Keys’ hair — a no-no that even a Hollywood neophyte ought to know — the interview on the “Tonight Show” was an overall friendly affair. They covered everything from Krispy Kreme doughnuts to Alicia Keys’ struggles with “stepping it up” on her role on “The Voice.”

One particular moment shone through when Fallon commended Keys on her positive, insightful, and inclusive approach to sharing feedback with contestants on “The Voice.”

“I don’t want to be like anyone else,” Keys explains to a contestant in a clip from the talent show. “And I don’t want you to be anyone like else.”

True to that statement, Keys has solidified her minimal, yet still glamorous no-makeup look over the last year and she’s long been an inspiring icon for women with curly hair. This was her first showing in recent times without sporting her curls all wrapped up.
