You won't believe the rock-bottom prices on Amazon's best-selling bath towels, starting at $5

Buying simple necessities is a lot less exciting than finding something fun and spontaneous — like a miniature cowboy hat — but a good sale can turn the dull chore into something you can cheer about.

Amazon is having a huge sale today on basic bath products as part of its sales leading up to Prime Day 2019. Right now, all prime members can get 20 percent off on all Amazon home products, which includes the retailer’s super soft, fast-drying towel sets. (The sets are up to 20 percent off, costing as little as $13.)

If you don’t already know, you’re supposed to replace towels every one to two years, according to experts. Even if you consistently wash your towels, they eventually wear down, which can ruin the absorbency and also lead to a smell that won’t go away.

So, it’s probably time to get some new towels.
