Amazon Drops First Full-Length Trailer for ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Season 3
There’s no stopping Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) in this brand-new teaser for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season three.
Amazon just dropped the first full-length trailer for the show’s upcoming season, which features Midge embarking on an extended tour alongside her comedy manager, Susie (Alex Borstein).
The clip opens on Midge and Susie heading out on the “first of a million tours,” according to the up-and-coming comedian. However, unlike past shows, this is “the big leagues,” which means Midge needs to step it up if she’s going to compete with her peers.
Of course, Midge’s parents—Abe (Tony Shalhoub) and Rose (Marin Hinkle)—are still trying to wrap their heads around the fact that their daughter is a standup comedian.
“I am not a prostitute,” Midge says. “I’m a comic.” When Rose asks if there’s a difference, Midge explains, “Yes. Prostitutes get paid more.”
Abe’s response? “Hilarious. You should go into comedy.”
Oh, and Joel (Michael Zegen) is still as annoying as ever, claiming that Midge isn’t there for him when he needs her. (He clearly needs to re-watch season one.)
The trailer concludes with a surprising guest cameo by Gilmore Girls star Liza Weil, who is chatting with Midge about her career.
“You see the world,” Weil’s character says in the clip. “The audiences, when they’re great, are really great, and you’re not having to go to your grave not having done anything interesting.”
In addition to Weil, season three of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will feature several new faces, including Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) and Jazmin Grimaldi (aka Grace Kelly’s granddaughter).
Go get ’em, Midge. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel returns to Amazon on December 6.
