Amtrak Is Having a Flash Sale on Northeastern Routes for the Holidays
Finding deals for holiday flights can sometimes get tricky, but travelers looking to visit friends and family or take a getaway this winter across the northeast can now do so for a fraction of the price thanks to Amtrak’s latest sale.
Amtrak is currently running a flash sale on select routes onboard its Northeast Regional and Acela Express services, offering customers who book by Thursday, Sep. 27, up to 30 percent off on standard ticket prices as part of its Northeast Holiday Travel Sale.
The deals are available for travel between Thursday, Nov. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 5, with no blackout dates applied so travelers can hit popular destinations like Boston and New York City for the holidays.
With some of the top deals, travelers can head from Washington, D.C. to Richmond, Virginia for $19 one-way on the Northeast Regional. Other top Northeast Regional deals include $29 one-way trips from Boston to New Haven, $29 one-way trips from New York to Philadelphia, and $29 one-way trips from Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia.
For under $40, travelers onboard the Northeast Regional will also find trips from Boston to New York, from Boston to Stamford, and from New York to Washington, D.C. Deals on the Northeast Regional apply for coach class fares.
Meanwhile, deals on the Acela apply to business class fares and include $69 one-way trips between New York and Philadelphia, $70 one-way trips between Baltimore and Philadelphia, and $79 one-way trips between cities like Boston and New York and between New York and Providence.
All of the discounts available through the sale will automatically be applied to the standard fare on applicable routes when customers search fares on Amtrak's website.
