Angela Bassett Sizzles at 60 at the Emmys, and Twitter Can't Handle It
Congratulations to Rachel Brosnahan, who just won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series award for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel at the Emmys. But sorry, Rachel-according to the Twitter, award presenter Angela Bassett may have stolen the show (and not because she mispronounced your name).
Joined on stage by Tiffany Haddish, Bassett, who turned 60 last month, sparkled in a geometric white dress that showed off her age-defying physique. And understandably, Emmy viewers lost their minds:
This isn't the first time Bassett has wowed people with her youthfulness. "I guess it’s a high-class problem to have,” she told Porter magazine in January. “But you don’t really know what to say when someone says: ‘Oh my God, you look so good.’ What do they expect? For you to be completely broken down?”
Over on Instagram, Bassett's makeup artist, D'Andre Michael, said he was inspired by "Old Hollywood," and revealed the products he used to show off his client's flawless skin:
