Angelina Jolie Is Mom Goals While Supporting Daughter's College Decision

Angelina Jolie's daughter is college-bound, and the actress couldn't be more proud to support her university choice!

Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 17, is set to begin her freshman year at Atlanta's prestigious Spelman College this fall. The 1881-founded HBCU (Historically Black College/University) is a “global leader in the education of women of African descent,” according to the private school’s website.

Proud mama bear Jolie took to social media to announce the news of her daughter's school choice, sharing a snap of a smiling Zahara with some new classmates. “Zahara with her Spelman sisters,” she captioned the Instagram photo.

The actress continued: “Congratulations to all new students starting this year,” she wrote, adding, “A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl.”

Congratulatory comments poured in, showing both excitement for Zahara's new journey and commending Angelina for her devotion to motherhood and raising socially-aware children. "Yessss Angelina!! she will love Spelman and the A... Congrats to you both and thank you for your continued advocacy ????," one user wrote.

A now-viral captured video shared to Twitter shows a joyful Angelina participating in a welcoming activity as she joins in on the electric slide dance set to the track of Cameo's "Candy" with a crowd of other college students' parents and event attendees.

In the video, a presumed fellow college mom tries to help Jolie learn the steps, as she eventually slides off the dance floor in a failed attempt, laughing and hugging her daughter.

The known supportive mom-of-six similarly documented her eldest son’s experience when he enrolled at Yonsei University in South Korea in August 2019.
