I'm Obsessed With Things That Hold Other Things

I own three planters and not a single plant. I have two ashtrays but I don't smoke ("only socially"). On my bookshelf sits seven various bowls and trays holding miscellaneous crap that ranges from dimes to jewelry to cut off clothing tags from bulk underwear. And crammed amongst these is a purely decorative commemorative plate celebrating the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton. That sits upright; It holds nothing.

My minor obsession with bowls, boxes, planters, and trays likely stems from a hoarder's version of organization. Where else does one keep their keys if not in something ceramic? These tiny home goods are simultaneously purposeful and useless. I should also mention that I felt personally attacked by SNL.
