Thinking about getting an Apple Watch? Just ahead of Fourth of July weekend, Amazon dropped the price on the Apple Watch Series 3 in black and white from $199 to a super-low $169 — $30 off.
This is the all-time cheapest price we’ve ever seen on this model yet—and it’s likely to sell out fast.
The world on your wrist
Although released in 2017, the Apple Series 3 is still one of the best smartwatches available thanks to its smart GPS, ability to track heartbeat and calories burned and affordable price.
Use it to take calls, respond to texts, sync up to music streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music and track steps and workout goals. It seamlessly pairs with the iPhone, too. Access Siri for up-to-the-minute news, weather reports and more. Just hold down the watch’s digital crown to bring up the voice assistant or simply say “Hey Siri” for instant access.
“I love this watch,” shares an excited shopper. “It feels like what the Apple Watch was meant to be. The ability for Siri to talk back is refreshing... And finally the fact that it is waterproof seals the deal.”
Series 3 vs. Series 5
Back in September 2019, Apple released the new Apple Watch Series 5. But the only real difference between the Series 3 and Series 5 is the latter features an always-on watch face versus having to tap or turn your hand to see the screen. Both editions have similar features and go strong for 18 hours per charge.
“The screen is exceptionally sharp and bright and I was very pleasantly surprised by the battery life,” writes a five-star reviewer of the Series 3. “At night, I put it into battery saving mode and can get through the whole weekend on a single charge.”
Bottom line
The Apple Watch Series 3 is perfect for iPhone users who want the benefits of notifications and quick info at a glance — things you can’t do with its closest competitor, the Fitbit Charge 3.
“I bought the Apple Watch for fitness tracking,” adds another satisfied shopper. “I went from a Fitbit to this and wow! I think the tracking is way more accurate. I used to roll my eyes at this watch thinking, who really needs it? But I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much I love this — and how I’d been able to live without it for so long.”
