Ariana Grande Channels Judy Garland on 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'
The pop sensation is feeling very 'Ozian' ahead of the upcoming 'Wicked' musical movie.
Ariana Grande has been wanting to sing her fans a little something—and apparently there's no place like TikTok.
The 29-year-old pop star—who hasn't dropped new music in quite a while—finally gave her fans what they've been asking for with a new TikTok video showing off her angelic vocals.
In the video shared to her TikTok page, the "thank u, next" songstress addressed the grievances from her fans who claim she never sings anymore by serenading them with a rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz.
The song choice likely doesn't come as a surprise, considering Grande is currently in the process of filming the Wicked movie musical, in which she stars as Glinda the Good Witch.
"Wanted to sing you a little something but don’t want to sing anything that is not 'Ozian' at the moment :)" Grande captioned the TikTok clip, which featured a stunning a cappella performance of the beloved Wizard of Oz anthem.

Not only were her fans enchanted by her voice, but many of them couldn't help but notice its undeniable similarity to that of Judy Garland, who sang the song as Dorothy Gale in the original 1939 film.
"Just like Judy Garland!!!" one fan gushed in the comments, while another insisted Garland "would be proud."
In the clip, Grande had herself wrapped up in a pink blanket, which covered her head to hide the blonde hair underneath. "Hiding glinda's hair," she wrote in small text over the video.
She also tried to explain why her fans think she's been so MIA lately, noting that she is "literally filming two musical movies all day every day."
In her caption, Grande said that she is, "keeping to my little bubble for now," as she continues filming for the two-part Wicked musical films, which are expected to premiere in 2024 and 2025.
