Ariana Grande left quarantine and joined a Black Lives Matter protest in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood on Saturday to advocate for an end to racial violence and police brutality after the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer. Other protesters spotted Grande marching with them and shared photos on social media of her marching in a mask, oversized yellow and black shirt, and white pants. She carried a sign reading "Black lives matter."

The singer posted her own photos from the protest on her Twitter, imploring the media to not ignore the peaceful protests happening in the city. Some Los Angeles protests have become violent; the looting that has occurred during them has dominated news coverage of the area's protests. The city has been put under a curfew, and the National Guard has been deployed to maintain peace overnight.

Grande stressed this is not every protest. "Hours and miles of peaceful protesting yesterday that got little to no coverage.all throughout Beverly Hills and West Hollywood," she wrote on Twitter, sharing her protest photos. "We chanted, people beeped and cheered along. We were passionate, we were loud, we were loving. Cover this too please."

Grande also implored her followers to vote, sign petitions, and donate to bail funds. "Please keep signing these petitions, making donations, having conversations w family and friends about it, reading and sharing links and resources... gentle reminder that this doesn’t end today or tomorrow or after you post about it once," she wrote.

"Stay active, stay energized, keep sharing, keep learning," she wrote on Sunday. "Sending strength and if you are protesting today, please be safe."
