Ashley Graham Charms in Sequin Gown for New Magazine Cover Photo
Ashley Graham's latest photo shoot sees her decked out in bronze, but she's taking home the gold with fans.
The 35-year-old model posed for the cover story of Vogue Germany's upcoming September 2023 issue, and after the publication previewed it online over the weekend, social media went wild for her work.
In a preview of the shoot shared by the mag via Instagram on Friday, Aug. 25, Graham smirked at the camera wearing a glitzy bronze gown, minimal makeup, no shoes or jewelry. She emphasized her slicked-back hair by posing with one hand on her head and the other on her neck.
"This cover is EVERYTHING ??," one Instagram user exclaimed.
"Wow the cover is unbelievably great ??," another gushed.
A third gushed, "Well, once more you look like a goddess ??."
"With our September issue, we celebrate the love of fashion – together with cover star Ashley Graham," the caption began. "At our shoot, the supermodel posed in the most beautiful dresses of the new season and charmed everyone on set with her energy and beauty. A career like hers was thwarted by the fashion industry for a long time, because large sizes are still not standard."
In her cover story interview, the supermodel explained the link between clothing size and self-esteem, how her body "became my identity."
"I was very aware that my thighs rubbed together, that my belly fat bulged over my jeans, that my arms were thicker than my friends'," she said.
Graham also opened up about learning to love her postpartum figure.
"I don't want to lie to myself and say: belly, after three children you look so great!" she told the outlet. "But I can accept and love my body and thank it for giving birth to three healthy children."
