Ashley Graham shows off her post-baby stretch marks in revealing new photo
During her pregnancy, Ashley Graham didn’t shy away from posing nude or giving fans an intimate look at how the process had changed her much-admired curves.
And in the weeks since giving birth to her first child, son Isaac, on Jan. 18, the model has continued her commitment to body positivity and transparency. After sharing photos of herself breastfeeding her baby, the new mom is proudly showing off the new stretch marks she’s acquired as a result of pregnancy and childbirth.
“Same me. Few new stories,” the 32-year-old star captioned the photo, which sees her covering her chest while baring her striped stomach.
Many are appreciating Graham’s efforts to own her changing body and normalize the postpartum process, which come after her recent post about wearing disposable underwear after giving birth.
“I just adore that you’re sharing this!!!!!!” read one comment. “Thank you.”
“Best story your body can tell,” added a fan, while others praised her “for being so real.”
“Keep inspiring women all over the world,” a commenter wrote.
“Look at those momma tiger stripes!!!! Well earned!!!!!” another fan added.
“This is the most magical photo I’ve ever seen,” read another comment.
And when one troll griped about seeing “disturbing” stretch marks, fans were quick to defend Graham, with one supporter firing back, “99% chance your literal mother has the same stretch marks.”
The first-time mom also showed off her stretch marks during her pregnancy, inspiring other women to follow suit on social media.
“The reason I had posted that original photo, I had just announced that I was pregnant and I thought then I was gonna feel good, and I didn’t. I felt, I just felt terrible,” a tearful Graham later said of her revealing pregnancy posts. “That morning I was like, get it together, Ashley. There’s other women out there that are going through the same thing as you. Why don’t you have a dialogue with them?”
