Why 'Bachelor in Paradise' star Jade Roper swears by this fertility tracker

Bachelor in Paradise star Jade Roper recently announced that she’s pregnant with her second child, but she says it wasn’t as easy to get pregnant this time around.

“We tried for 10 months,” Roper, who is also mom to 1-year-old daughter Emerson, tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “I’m a fairly healthy person who got pregnant easily the first time. I thought I would get pregnant again right away the second time, but it definitely took time.”

Roper is now 16 weeks along and says she’s “starting to crawl out of the black hole” of morning sickness. “The first few weeks were rough,” she says. “I had a lot of nausea and fatigue, but it’s starting to get better now.”

As she did while trying to get pregnant with her daughter, Roper says she relied on the Ava bracelet to help her track her fertility this time. Roper, who is a brand ambassador for the company, first started posting about the ovulation-tracking bracelet back in November 2016. She became pregnant a month later. Roper also thanked the company when she announced the birth of Emerson in August 2017.

While the process of getting pregnant wasn’t as seamless this time, Roper says it was comforting to know that she was at least trying to conceive during her fertility window based on what the bracelet told her. “It took a lot of the stress off of knowing when to try,” she says.

While Roper says her journey to get pregnant was a little more frustrating this time, she felt good knowing she was doing everything she could to time things right. “I feel like my experience was a lot less stressful than it could have been with using this bracelet,” she says. “There are a lot of factors that go into getting pregnant. With this, at least you know you’re getting one thing right.”
