Bachelorette Party Photo Shoot Goes Viral: ‘Real Beauty Comes in All Sizes’
To celebrate her best friend’s last few days as a single lady, maid of honor Randi Smith organized a surprise girls trip to Mexico for Jasmine Brooks.
The bachelorette party turned heads in Mexico and now is turning heads on social media. With Brook’s Twitter post racking up over 35,000 likes and 14,000 retweets, the photo of the gorgeous women is going viral.
“I had no idea where we were going until I arrived at the airport,” Brooks tells Yahoo Style. “When I arrived at the airport, they greeted me in matching shirts that read, ‘She said yes, We said Mexico.'”

“The BEST Bachelorette trip EVER! We sprinkled glitter and black girl magic all over Mexico!” Brooks shared on Twitter, featuring photos of the group of bridesmaids in coordinating dresses, jerseys, and bathing suits. The Internet loves it, but what the bride-to-be loves the most is all the fabulous adventures the women shared together, from ziplining and riding ATVs through the mountains of Puerto Vallarta to snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean.
The women explored the town and visited tiny markets, “bursting with all things beautiful and representative of Puerto Vallarta,” says Brooks.
“What made this trip such a beautiful experience for me was that most of my bridesmaids couldn’t swim or were afraid of heights, but they faced their fears in my honor,” notes Brooks. “We all experienced so many ‘firsts’ together, and it was, overall, just a beautiful and humbling experience.”
People on social media are celebrating the amazing bachelorette party photos, too.

“Our photos particularly resonated with young black women,” Brook says.
On why she thinks her post has received so much attention, Brooks says, “It’s especially inspiring when you see women who look like you doing amazing things like this. We showcased confidence, unity, friendship, and sisterhood on a level any woman could relate to.”
